I have
too many values to list, and hesitate to try, for fear of being unjust to
those that don't show up on this page.
If I'd written this yesterday, I might have included others, ask me tomorrow
and you'll discover more still. While
not transient, they are too numerous, and come to the fore more readily each in
their own contexts.
With
that in mind, here are some of my top values.
Amy
Nasir, my soulmate,
my lifemate, my partner and my wife.
To list everything I love about her is to list most everything Good in
life. She brings out the best of all
that is Robert Nasir. I was born the
day I met her.
Diana
Nasir, my daughter, the single best thing I've ever made. The only thing more exciting than seeing who
she has become, is watching who she's becoming.
My
career, as a Microsoft Certified
Systems Engineer. For more of my
certifications and professional background, see my resume at RobertNasir.com. Special thanks to Microsoft, providers of the world's greatest operating
systems. (Those who disagree with this
estimate should visit the Committee For The Moral Defense Of Microsoft at Capitalism.org.)
Ayn
Rand's philosophy Objectivism. Once I've made myself rich as a computer
systems engineer, I shall resume my academic study of philosophy with
fervor again, and become a professional Intellectual. I should be ready by about 2015.
My
friend Eric Lakits, an engineer, an Objectivist, and an unusually
intelligent, benevolent, humorous and insightful man. He is the Eric behind EGO:
Eric's Group of Objectivists.

*Having earned an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts (1986), I am presumably now qualified as a liberal artist. Who'd have thought? Appropo

My music, from my studies at Oakland Community College, where I earned my AA in Liberal Arts*, to my performance of it with friends past (on bar stages with Trebor) and present (in the living room!), to my appreciation of it, with top thanks to Yes, Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky, and countless others.
In the future, I may post other favorites, such as movies (such as The Cutting Edge and Anne of Green Gables) and painters (including William-Adolphe Bougereau and Maxfield Parrish). Meanwhile, feel free to E-Mail me at RobertNasir@RobertNasir.com.
